Trevor Cousins is a life coach and career coach based in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex and London offering face-to-face coaching in Brighton, Hove and London and telephone coaching worldwide. Executive coaching, leadership coaching and team coaching is available in person across the UK. Trevor is accredited by The International Coach Federation. Trevor started his coaching practice in 2002.
Trevor works with a number of other talented life, career, executive and team coaches in London and the South.

Diversity is an important value for me and over the last 5 years I have coached people from all walks of life: men and women, straight, lesbian and gay; christian, hindu, muslim, people with no religious affiliation; all age groups from 20s to 60s; employees in the private sector, local government, charities and universities.
TREVOR'S STORY
I spent 13 years in corporate life before becoming a coach. The majority of my corporate working life was spent as an Account Director in London-based direct marketing agencies. In my agency life I worked with large charity sector fundraising and communications clients such as RNLI, British Red Cross, RSPB, Greenpeace and the Open University.
Without realising it, I was using coaching and development skills with my direct team, cross-agency teams and with clients. My team focus and supportive leadership style enabled my team to deliver complex multi-million pound campaigns to strict timescales and budgets and to win a number of awards.
After moving to Brighton and Hove in 2000, I commuted to London for a year before landing a job in Brighton. Late in 2002 I left corporate life to become self-employed as a coach and facilitator.
I believe that life is too short to be unproductive or unhappy. If life isn’t working for me I do my best to change it for the positive. It is this attitude that I bring to my coaching. My focus is on supporting individuals and teams to be positive, productive and sustainable through:
- really valuing and understanding themselves
- identifying and building on their strengths
- taking action to create the situations and conditions they want in their life and/or career.
- Helping people see possibilities for themselves that they hadn’t seen before
- Seeing the gems in my clients’ lives – their unique gifts and personal power – and encouraging clients to embrace them
- Strong intuition and powerful insights
- Being highly effective with both visioning and grounded, practical implementation
- Great listening and empathy skills so that clients feel truly heard and valued.
- Deep and solid knowledge and experience of the coaching process.
MY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
I trained with both The Coaches Training Institute and The Coaching Academy. I am qualified to coach trainee coaches during the CTI Certification Programme being a CPCC and ICF-accredited PCC.
My business qualifications include:
- MA in European Management - Cranfield University School of Management
- Diploma in Marketing - Chartered Institute of Marketing
- Diploma in Direct Marketing (Distinction) - Institute of Direct Marketing.
